Of Lithuanian origin, I came to Paris to study at the Estienne School (ESAIG) after first training at the Academy of Fine Arts in Vilnius. This is where I discovered the world of animated books, which I immediately felt drawn to. Since the publication of my first pop-up book Jardin Bleu (2017) by Gallimard Jeunesse, I published several more in collaboration with Gallimard Jeunesse: Jungle (2018), Neige (2019) and Voyage (2021). I also recently graduated from the National School of Decorative Arts (ENSAD) where I trained to develop my creations on a large scale. I am passionate about paper cutting and work as a freelance illustrator and graphic designer. I encourage children to create and illustrate their own stories during my pop-up workshops. Through my books, I try to encourage my readers to notice the beauty of nature that is not always visible at first glance.
